Roasted garlic is super easy to make, and you can use it in almost everything. Smash it on your avocado toast, add it to sandwiches, aiolis, ricotta….really anything will benefit from this humble, simply roasted garlic.  From start to finish this should take you no more than 45 minutes to an hour tops.

Ready to rock and roast!

Pre-heat your oven to 400 F. Simply cut off the top of the head of garlic exposing the garlic cloves (you can keep the top, we will add it to the foil bundle).

Just a little off the top

Place the whole head of garlic in tin foil, then drizzle the garlic with olive oil and a pinch of sea salt. (You can also add fresh, hard herbs, like rosemary, thyme, or oregano).

This is going to be good

Now, close the foil around the garlic, pinch the top, creating a little bundle and place on a baking sheet.

Voila! After 45 minutes-1 hour, you will have spreadable, mashable, sweet, fragrant roasted garlic to add to whatever fills your heart with joy.

Sweetly fragrant roasted garlic gives me joy

You could either squeeze the creamy, sweet roasted cloves out of the garlic head or pick each clove out with a small fork or toothpick.

Happy cooking!
